영어는 어렵다. 특히 외국인처럼 자연스러운 영어를 구사하는 건 오히려 그들에게 문법을 가르치던 저자에게도 어려운 일이었다. 왜? 현지에서 사용되는 자연스러운 표현들을 활용하지 못했기 때문이다. 김수진 저자의 신간 《English Picture Idioms 365》(좋은땅 펴냄)는 이러한 표현력을 키우기 위한 숙어 모음집이다.

《English Picture Idioms 365》는 지금 현지에서 활발하게 사용되고 있는 숙어들을 모아 하루에 한 가지씩 배워 활용할 수 있도록 제시하고 있는 숙어 모음집이다. 각각의 숙어들은 흥미로운 삽화와 함께 제시되어 쉽게 이해할 수 있으면서도 기억에 잘 남을 수 있도록 하고 있으며, 일상생활에서 바로 응용할 수 있도록 대화문 속에서 해당 숙어가 어떻게 사용되는지 보여주고 있다. 독자는 이 숙어들을 반복해서 연습함으로써 영어 표현력을 키울 수 있을 것이다.

저자소개

경희대학교 사범대학 영어교육과를 졸업 후 미국 Vermont의 St. Michael\'s College에서 TESOL 석사 학위를 취득, 인천과 강원도 소재의 고등학교에서 영어 교사로 20년 동안 재직 중에 있다. 다수의 EBSi 수능영어와 EBSe 영어프로그램에 10여 년 동안 출연하였고, EBS 독해, 듣기 및 문법 교재를 포함한 다양한 중, 고등학교 영어교재 및 7차와 8차 중학교 개정 교과서 작업에 참여하였다.

단독 저서로는 《달랑 한권으로 끝내는 만화 영문법》(성안당), 《All New Time for Grammar》(YBM), 《즉석 영어회화패턴 900》(반석출판사) 등이 있다. 최근에는 다양한 교재의 삽화 일러스트로도 활동하고 있다.
